Terms of use
Last updated 30 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and AVELON STUDIO S.R.L., the company registered in Romania that makes Blit, for using the Blit app (on your phone or in the browser at useblit.app) and this website. By using Blit, as a guest or with an account, you agree to them. Our Privacy policy explains what we do with your data.
Who can use Blit
- You need to be 16 or older.
- An account is for one person. Keep your email and your sign-in safe; you're responsible for what's done with your account.
- A guest's splits stay with that guest until they're saved to an account. If you sign out or lose your phone as a guest, they can be lost.
- If you got Blit from the App Store or Google Play, their terms for apps apply too.
What Blit does, and what it doesn't
- Blit helps a table work out who owes what. It never holds, sends or receives money. You pay each other outside Blit, by bank transfer, Revolut or however you like, and Blit isn't part of those payments. "Marked paid" and "Confirmed" are what people in the room say, not proof that money moved.
- Receipts are read by a computer and can be read wrong. Check the items and the total before you settle.
- Games decide who covers part of a bill, or all of it, among friends who agreed to play. Nothing is bet: the loser pays a share of a bill the table was paying anyway. There are no pots or prizes, and Blit takes nothing.
- Rewards and promos at partner restaurants come from the restaurant, which decides what it gives and can change or end them. A stamp or reward earned unfairly can be withheld.
- Blit is young. Features change, and Blit may sometimes be unavailable.
Be kind: what you can't do
Blit doesn't tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. In chats, names, room and group names and anything else you write in Blit, don't:
- harass, threaten, bully or intimidate anyone;
- post hate speech or slurs, or attack people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation;
- post sexual content, or make sexual comments about someone;
- post anything illegal, or anything that encourages violence or self-harm;
- share someone else's private information, such as their address, bank details or photos, without their permission;
- pretend to be someone else, send spam, or cheat other people, the games or the rewards;
- try to break, overload or get around Blit's limits or security.
What we do about it
- A filter masks a short list of slurs and harassment terms before a message is stored.
- You can report any message someone else wrote, and block anyone. A person you block isn't told.
- We look at reported messages within 24 hours. We remove what breaks these terms, and we can suspend or close the account that posted it, without warning when it's serious.
- If you think we got it wrong, email us.
What you write
What you write stays yours. You let us store it and show it to the people in the rooms and groups you share it with, only to run Blit. We keep and delete it as the Privacy policy says.
Ending
- You can delete your account at any time, in Settings or at useblit.com/delete-account, once you've settled any rooms you host with others.
- We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Our responsibility
We work to keep Blit accurate and running, but we provide it as it is. We're not responsible for money people owe each other, for payments made outside Blit, or for a restaurant's offers. Nothing in these terms limits a liability the law doesn't let us limit, or takes away your rights as a consumer.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app or on this page before the change applies. If you keep using Blit after that, the new terms apply.
Law
Romanian law governs these terms. If you're a consumer living in the European Union, you also keep the protection of your own country's laws and can go to its courts.
